Mr. Scott Zeigler

Welcome Families,

My name is Scott Zeigler.  I have been teaching with Livonia Public Schools since the 2003-2004 school year.  I started with the Cooper Center program and followed the program to Riley Center during the 2006-2007 school year.  In 2013 I taught at Churchill High School in the RCR.  I moved to Johnson Upper Elementary Center in the fall of 2013.  I earned a Bachelor's of Science from Eastern Michigan University with a major in Special Education, Emotional Impairment, and a minor in Fine Arts.  I earned a Master's Degree from Wayne State University in Educational Psychology.

I have been married since 1999 and I have three children, a girl and two boys.  I enjoy coaching my children's soccer and baseball teams, walking our dog, and home improvement projects.  In the summer I enjoy swimming and camping with my family.  I also work as a camp art teacher at a summer camp in Bloomfield Hills for special needs students.  I have been a part of that camp program since I was a freshman in high school.

At Johnson I enjoy teaching all subjects along with a social skills curriculum.  My students work hard to earn points and positives as apart of a positive behavioral support system.  The students demonstrate appropriate skills and move up through our level system. They have the opportunity to earn rewards and privileges as they move to higher levels.  My students have the same opportunity to participate in activities and clubs.  Please check the school website often for activities and events coming to Johnson.

     Go Jayhawks!

     Keep Calm and SOAR!
